Ok my boat trailer has electric brakes on it. I want to install the module that controls it in my new truck what do you guys recommend? I also plan on buying a enclosed trailer so better to be safe then sorry especially with my boat and if it has brakes why not use them.

It can be that simple. Depends on the vehicle.

Yes, the Prodigy is electric, but has a manual mode (lever) as well. If your truck is new enough Tekonsha will sell you a plug-n-play harness for it.

Boat, electric trailer brakes? I thought most had surge brakes because they get dunked regularly?

Actually this one was upgraded to electric brakes or down graded I guess depends on how you look at it.

Also I plan on getting a enclosed trailer so I figured I would do the conversion now.
