i feel a vibration when i brake but i dont think its a warped rotor/s. it happens randomly and it doesnt have to be when there heated up sometimes it will happen as i leave my block
yesterday my friend was sitting on my bike hitting the brakes for no reason i we heard a creek or almost like a spring clicking noise as he pulled the front brake, then i notice if i press in on the right rotor below the caliper or pull out above it the creaking/clicking would stop. shit makes me nervous only thing i think of it can be is those rings or loose or somthin
its a 03 f4i with about 16k on it and the front brakes are original

don't necessarily need to rebuild them, at least give 'em a good cleaning (especially if they're still the original pads!). Pull the calipers, pull the pads, clean the pistons with an old grungy toothbrush and brake FLUID, flush with water, scrub 'em again, flush with water and dry with compressed air. DO NOT push the pistons back until you've cleaned and dried the pistons!!!
See if that doesn't at least help cure the problem. My guess is you've got a "sticky" caliper and a dragging brake that's causing some shuddering.

I have a similar shuddering on my Suzuki. I've completely rebuilt the rotors, put on different rotor, new bearings, everything, and it still does it. I'm completely puzzled at to what else is left. It's not the tires (it's done it on three sets), and I can't imagine the rim is bent, as I'm sure I'd be able to see it with that much vibration. Any ideas anyone?

on my sv 650 i had the rotor buttons were loose you could rotate the rotor independently of the buttons. very slightly but just enought to make a small noise when moving the bike forward and back when parking and such. and it would definitly make noise if the brake was applied slightly in the same situation. they never failed though just made a little noise when parking and such. anly a low speed noise. also a little dust would form right by the trailing edge of each button on the rotor.

The back side of those buttons look like flower shaped washers. You can use a super thin screwdriver or a jack knife you dont care about and bend every one of those "flower petals" back a little bit. The whole rotor will float then, it will jingle a little bit on curbs and bumps but the rotor will be free to adjust itself ever so slightly so you don't vibrate or get any shudder.
