Picked up a Z125 and can't wait to play around on/with it. Unfortunately, in the process of dealing with my trailer, I injured my hand and it's going to be a while before I can do anything but LOOK at my new bike.

...maybe buy one again.

You're right, the used market is getting cheaper. And for a solid fun little bike to keep in the garage, it's a small investment. It really is a go-anywhere bike (except freeways lol). I used my Grom for 95% of my riding last year.

That blows. How bad did you mess up your hand?

I'd post pictures, but they are a bit gruesome... Lets just say I shaved about half an inch off one of my fingers. On the plus side, losing weight is the best 'performance mod' you can make on these bikes... right?

Holy shit! Just post a link to the image without embedding it here and then put a (GORE) tag on it.

And you're right. weight savings is everything on these little midgets.

Here you go. My phone wasn't cooperating with me, so the photos aren't great.

Wow, that sucks. What's left of it now? You going to still have the last joint and fingernail? Hopefully it doesn't give you trouble with clutching. On my Grom I have a hand brake setup so one finger clutching is key.

I will have just enough for a sliver of a fingernail... since I found the chunk that came off. I usually clutch with my middle finger so on my track bike, my pointer only gets in the way (problem solved). I've never ridden with a hand brake, so I assume I'll just adapt or adjust the lever so I can reach.

Bonehead move. I was in a hurry and cut took a shortcut hooking up my trailer... it backfired. I don't want' to get anymore specific than that as I already feel incredibly stupid about the whole situation.

Momentary lapse in brain function. We've all been there!
