Why? Both my street bikes see plenty of track duty - a dedicated track bike is not a REQUIREMENT.

Here I thought maintaining a good exercise routine, prepping the bike over winter and attending some more ARS's was good preparation. Silly me. :P

I'm hoping it opens right around the time I get my tax return.

New official ZARS slogan, "Spend your tax return here!!"

Hi,
First post here on MNSBR. I've done a few TD's with TrackAddix at MAM and Hastings this past summer. I'm hoping to get out to BIR on June 29/30, 2014. Glad to see there will be 2-day events; this will make my trek from Sioux Falls more worth it.

I'm also hoping to do an Advanced Riding School as well. Will the schools take place on the same weekends as the track days?

Jesse, It'll be great to have you join us!

Track days have 3 school options - Track School 1, Track School 2 and School of ROCC. for details see
http://www.ridezars....school-i-and-ii
http://www.ridezars....-school-of-rocc

Post any specific class questions and the instructors for those programs will drop in with the answer.

The ARS (Advanced Riding School) and Trackdays (at BIR and RA) are always on different days. The ARS events are always at Dakota County Technical College, where as the track days are at BIR and Road America.

What Ian mentioned are different track school options you have at BIR or RA.

Hope to see you out there this summer! There are a few folks that drive from your area. Hopefully they will pipe up and maybe you can all work out a car pool to cut down costs

Thank you Ian, Gunnr, and Nick.

So, if I'm understanding correctly, Track School 1, Track School 2, and ROCC take place at track days. ARS is totally separate.

I'm an "experienced novice", so it sounds like Track School 2 would be for me.

In the ZARS family of schooling, everyone should start on level 1 and work their way up. Read around this thread forum and their website for more details and it'll probably make more sense, but don't think of level 1 for "beginners" but as the first class taught by this school. They'll then graduate you to the next "class" once they think you understand what they were trying to teach in that class and the level 2 teachings are built off of level 1's concepts.

Make sense?

The only time that doesn't apply is during open track days where you choose the group you ride with: novice, intermediate and advanced.
