The chevy is a pile. It sits in my parking lot most of the time with a flat tire. It is the wifes' late dad's truck. I have dumped so much money into this truck and so much more to keep it on the road. I am pretty much done with it and will be selling it soon.
And fuck that, I get you good deals on parts.

Toyota people seem to think their vehicles are made of gold. Same people with 200k plus Tahoes.
And he also read those reviews on the internet, so they must be true.

That and I found, and talked to 2 local owners that have tens of thousands of miles on theirs without a hiccup.
The most common issues I've heard about is with the Cummins...by people that use them as daily drivers and never tow anything.

Can I ask how much you got for the tundra? I been have looking at them but the resale is so high! I have found a few chevy/gmc 3-4 years newer with 40k less miles for alot cheaper. Its kinda killing my tundra dreams for a truck that wont be drove all the time.

Sold it for 28k. But thats what the dealer had promised me. I waited for a long time to sell it because it was nice having when i needed it. I didn't try hard, but i put it on CL asking 30k for almost a year, then dropped it to 28k what the dealer offered and it sold within a week. I parted it out somewhat before i sold it. I couldn't believe that I got almost 2k for the wheels and headlights alone.

Just blows me away the amount that people make on truck payments. The guy that bought it from me drove from the middle of no where Wisconsin and didn't tell his wife about the purchase lol...

Thats seems ball park. Yup 28k would be high end. Think im pulling the trigger on 2014 gmc with 57k on rite around 23-24k for price.
I keep looking at this but cant seem to justify it.

Bleh ... do u want an extended cab? this is a crewmax but it has some cool custom stuff done to it:

But yea Tundras are stupid expensive. But it isn't completely Toyotas fault. Every truck in each segment is stupid high now. So trucks with 100k miles in decent shape are still 30k which is insane, but when people consider the price of cars as just another X amount a month we'll have this problem.

Looking more at extended. The Crew has the 5.5ft box. When I do use my truck thats to short. It will be part time driver but I do haul stuff.

Good to know. I have the 7.3 if I ever need to tow so maybe the cummins isnt what I need.
