I couldn't find the other thread that had pics and info in it, so I'm creating a new one (merge if necessary).

Finally got my TRD wheels and Kumho AT tires mounted up. Ready for some trail action. I'll be replacing the running boards with frame sliders/step bars as well.

Just tape a bunch of knee pucks to the bottom of the running boards.

Those tires look great though!

Tires are quieter than the street focused Contis that I pulled off. A little firmer, but nothing that prevents it from still being a good DD.

Just got a small lift in the FJ. Big enough to make a difference, small enough the OEM tires still look comfortable. Hopefully I can get some 16" black steelies soon and get rid of the 17" shiny alloys. Going for the full black out, hopefully will get there soon.

I don't know much about Kumho tires. I went with the Hankook DynaPro ATM. From a quick search, it looks like the Kumho's you have are about the same price point as my Hankooks and both companies are from Korea. I really like my Hankooks, have had them since April and don't have any complaints. They even got some real off-road action out in Colorado this summer.

Poe's lift should help him tackle the Mall of America parking lot, where as before he was limited to Southdale/Ridgedale and the smaller malls.

Tanger Outlet can suck it! Moving on to the big show :D

I'll grab a shot or two later. A normal person likely wouldn't notice anything different. It's a small difference over stock, but looks WAY better overall. Actually looks like it has a posture that's ready for off-road, vs mall shopping soccer mom SUV.

I took my leveling kit out of my ram and reverse leveled it by dropping the rear. Looks better with the 285's, rides better and easily clears a 7' parking garage. which it almost wouldn't before.

35" minimum or go home. :twofinger:
Here's my last lifted truck. BFG Mud Terrains on my 1987 GMC.
I also had a 1983 Chevrolet with 42" Ground Hawgs back in the day.

I've had 2 different 4runners on 35's. an 89 with IFS and a 91 that was SAS. I miss them at times. but motorcycles are my focus currently.

My Xj has about a 4.5" lift, on 33x12.50s. Its also got rock sliders and a bunch of other crap. I got a new front bumper for it and a winch that will be going on in the next 2 weeks. I also replaced the tires in the picture with some 33x12.50 Goodyear Duratracs.

I just really like this picture, it was before the lift. Still made it to the top of the trail. Nothing super advanced, but still a fun, rocky, slightly sketchy trail with some shallow water crossings. My skid plates paid a little price for the journey, but that's just more reason for upgrades.
