Anybody interested in a race/track bike? I likely need to take a few years off.

2003 Honda CBR 600rr.

Comes with two sets of race plastics (second set is unpainted and doesn't have the tailpiece). Also has a clean title with a license plate. It has been crashed multiple times, including once by me.

For additional $$, I will include my suit/boots/gloves and stands (6', 175lbs, xl gloves, size 12 shoes)

I bought it from another trackday rider in 2018 for a pretty good deal but he didn't provide much history. Bunch of aftermarket parts including full exhaust, front and rear suspension, power commander, rearsets. A lot of the bike is safety wired but both him and I just did trackdays on it, no racing. I'm not sure if it's been raced in the past. I have no way to tell if the mileage is accurate. The bike rides super nice, I came from a 2012 GSXR 750 and was immediately running the same or better times at BIR on this 03 600rr because of how well it's set up. My one crash was a small low side in turn 13 at BIR, I have a video of it on my youtube and replaced the fairing stay, windscreen, right frame slider, right rearset peg, and the swingarm spools. I've kept the bike in my basement the last two winters, and have done coolant flush, brake fluid flush, and oil changes myself. Currently has Honda OEM coolant and a set of Dunlop Q4s that are awesome and only have 2 days on them. I'm guessing the suspension could maybe use a rebuild, but the bike ran and rode awesome for me so I didn't really change or do much else to it.

Some new financial priorities came up, and I have two kids at home under 3 years old. Once one/both of them hit kindergarten and I'm not paying a million dollars a year for daycare, I plan to get back in. Fortunately I still have my cruiser and won't be completely letting go of 2 wheels, but trackdays and maintenance aren't cheap.

sad to see you go. I know they are expensive. Well depending on how this summer goes I maybe picking up a cheap kawi 250 track prepped bike. If I am in minnesota you would be welcome to ride it.
