Since our word-of-mouth advertising isn't getting any tree work lately, my son and I have started a lifting program to get ready for a physical challenge coming up in a few months.

Things are going well but I don't have a 2nd 10lb universal plate until I can get it back from my brother in a few weeks.
We need another 10lb to make the next weight bump that my son will be ready for tomorrow.

Anybody have a spare I can borrow for a few weeks?

I want to get some dumbbells back in my house to do some training. If anyone wants to get rid of some free weights let me know. Obviously I'm piggy backing on this thread, so give Kent first dibs on what he needs.

I just checked a 2nd-wind and could get one 5lb and two 2.5lb but no 10lb. Nope.
I'd rather borrow than buy anyway since I'll get what I need in a few weeks anyway and would rather not have extras laying about.
Savers had some bar bells but no free weights.

Nobody?

Last night we got by making 20lb on one side with a 10, 5, 2.5 and two extra collars.
The other side had three 5s and two 2.5s.

He did the sets and will be ready to bump again on Wednesday. Can't make 22.5 without a 10. I suggested we just move to 25 and got a flat, solid NO.

Oh well, guess I'll just tape on a bucket of screws for a few days.

Later,
Kent

Ha!

If we were getting tree work we wouldn't need to be pushing weights around for no purpose.
The main point of doing that work is so people pay me to exercise!

Maybe it will pick up not that weather is getting better for people working around their yards.

Oops. I just noticed the "Standard". My bars are the Olympic (I thought they were called "Universal") size. I guess I'm still looking.
Thanks for the offer.

That was just a stock pic. You're looking for a plate for a 2" bar, right?
