Been waiting to hear so I'll get it started - even though I'm not a racer.

Highs:

Getting to see everyone again of course!
Relatively hiccup-free T&S for Friday - especially for being the first weekend of the season!
The outstanding weather!
Saturday night stunt shows in the pit with an unnamed Grom rider.
Matt Cina's Uptown scooter story.
The perfect Gin n Tonic.
Betty, double sweatered and snuggled into a wool blanket, looking adorable.
Seeing lap times drop like a rock for #60 ;)

Lows:

Crashes - nobody likes to see that.
My Zuma's mysterious charging system's gremlin making an appearance. :bankhead:
Not getting to chat with more of the new riders.

There was plenty more but I'm just looking to prime the pump. TWSS

Wait, what is Matt Cina's Uptown scooter story?! Sounds like it should be a movie maybe.

Highs -
- OUTSTANDING event overall. Hugely attended, that was our highest May racer count in who knows how long.
- Katie being an awesome wife and mom, taking care of the kids while I had to work on the bike for basically 3 days straight
- New riders doin the thing
- Track record!
- Weather. Poo on all the people messaging me in early April with nervous weather questions! I told you all I paid extra on the contract for sunshine!
- Huge thanks to Steve, Josh, Karl, 2K, Mark, Mike, Paul, Ward, and anyone else I'm forgetting who helped me get humpty dumpty back together again
- Seeing track people!

Lows -
- Blowing 2 motors in 1 day. Eff everything about that
- Need more corner workers! Bring your friends!

Highs -

-Getting back into racing after not throwing a leg over a motorcycle in almost 2.5 years
-The huge MW Expert grids and all the battling - Dargis is a hard guy to pass
-Michelin tires and Brandon's support - they are so confidence inspiring and I really fell in love with the front end feel
-Not crashing
-Finishing 11th out of 26 in MW
-Zuma burnouts and track shenanigens
-Seeing all the old but familiar faces and everyone giving me a warm welcome back
-Kim and Anna

Lows -
-Sleeping in the back seat of a truck
-Feeling slow and not dipping past the 1:50's
-MWE riders braking into T1 (crisis averted)
-People crashing and getting hurt
-Falling into the "will I ever get faster" lul

Highs-

New track checked off the list.
Was able to finish all the races I wanted to race in.
Ran Michelins and they felt great.
Was able to hang out with family and meet new people.

Lows-
Struggled with being mentally prepared.
Brake issues led to bleeding multiple times, messing with my head causing me to brake way early.
Running out of gas during MWSS. Doh!

Highs -

- Getting back on the track after a year-and-a-half - really 2 1/2 years if you don't count the 42 minutes on Dave Juntenen's 636 in the 2016 5-hr.
- The YZF600R running awesomely in all of the races - 2K really knows how to set up a suspension! Just point the bike where you want to go and it goes!
- Feeling like I was just on the track last month, despite it being a brand-new race bike for me and all my time off (maybe because I put 6,000 miles on that bike on the street over the last season-and-a-half?).
- Setting my personal best time ever (excluding an only slightly faster time on Dave's 636 above which was a MUCH faster bike).
- Seeing all of the old friends in Garage B, Tech, Race Reg, and all around the track.
- Getting to race in the Framstad Cup! And for a split second thinking I might even have a chance to win it!
- Receiving Clint Lee's help and parts from Josh Pangier when I was having fuel pump issues on Friday and Saturday.
- Just being back - I have missed this whole experience so much!
- For the first time since before racing the F2, I did NOT run out of gas with my bike on the track!
- Weather was AWESOME!!! Despite looking a little scary in the forecasts last week, it was absolutely beautiful!

Lows -
- Hearing about crashes - never fun. Wishing everyone a quick recovery!
- Having fuel pump issues from the get-go on Friday morning and then again on Saturday morning (what? Derek having fuel issues? Never heard of that).
- Trying to figure out a "jumpy" clutch on launching - worst race starts ever!
- Taking off with the wrong wave in the 2nd 90's cup race - ok, I never said I was smart...
- Probably almost crashing 3 bikes just behind me when I hit a false neutral going into turn 4 on Sunday (sorry guys!)

All-in-all a spectacular weekend!

^ Can't escape those fueling issues, huh? At least it's getting better!

I wasn't racing, but I sure as hell got the itch real bad. Looks like LW has grown to have some contenders for me to rub elbows with. I'm very much looking forward to getting back out there.

Between working race reg and corners it was great to see everyone again and watch some seriously fun racing.

You plan on picking something up, sir? Maybe that itch is something you should scratch!
