Plenty of good advice here so I won't duplicate it. If you have more in depth questions (or any really) make sure to email Scott the racer liaison, racerliaison@cra-mn.com

I saw that video a couple of days ago, I remember my dad and my dads friend who rode AMA in the 90ís saying 1:38.00 was competitive on that track. That guy was flying, but looking at it like that and watching Pro guys NOW, it seems like this dude is riding pretty slow...

It's hard to compare to then, remember the AMA racers were professionals backed by the factories that several went on to the world stage and even Moto GP. Club racing is mostly people who are doing this for fun on limited budgets and have to go to work on Monday. Jason in the video is uber fast and has plenty of AMA / Moto America experience and can hold his own on the national level.

That said, the current track record on the long course is 1:39.4 which is not far off the best lap ever set by those AMA riders. Also remember since then the track has been slightly reconfigured and a chicane has been added which slows down times.

Have any of you seen these? http://www.450gp.com/EN/vehicles.html I donít mean to be rude. Would one of these bikes be better for me since Iím used to my 600ís power a little more?

Yes they are awesome, though just starting out racing if you already had a 450 to convert...just use the 450 in dirt bike form with slicks. Plenty of people do that and they are a hoot. Besides the bikes being totally sweet and probably fun to convert, the cost is high and you don't gain much with respect to outright laptimes.

The N250 spec class no longer exists in CRA.

Does this mean you've already had your midlife crisis and it's over?
