So I got a bit rambunctious today and popped the glass on the passenger side of the rear slider of the Purple Pig (05 Ram).

Fuck Safelite. Fuck Harmon. Rather give the bidniz to a local company and preferably to someone who sucks less than the general population (yeah, that eliminates a good number of you fucks on here, I'm looking straight at you Joel). :D

Anyways if there's someone on here who is willing and able to do the job at a competitive price I'm happy to throw the biz to them (either through their employment or privately).

Call me or txt me 61-2.36?9.O7&36.

Too far for me. I've had Centennial Glass in Lino Lakes swap windshields before. Quick and quality work and they're good dudes. I'll be calling them up in the spring to swap glass on the FJ. Got about 5 or 6 chips in it and it's pitted to hell.

Subpar glass gets pitted very easily. Very soft.
I will be looking for someone that can install the good stuff next time.

How do you know what glass is being used? Is OEM glass best? Any particular manufacturers out there to look for?

I've been told that Safelite was best, but now I hear there are different levels of quality with theirs.
So it's a crap shoot I guess.
Maybe someone here knows the quality levels of glass and can chime in.

Is your guy worth using vs free glass through my insurance?

No, your insurance is completely free to do it. Through me you still have to pay for glass.

I've seen FJ Cruiser glass cost anywhere from $900 to $1200. Definitely going through insurance lol

After checking out prices now, it seems the cost is much lower than it used to be.

Also highly likely your insurance doesn't cover OEM glass. It will cover aftermarket equivalent glass, which is much cheaper. Did this this year in Liz's RX. Honestly, can't tell the difference from the OEM lexus glass, rain sensor and all.

This is true. Especially if you have state farm. If you have State Farm, just know you will pretty much never have OEM parts replaced. Parts that are not crash tested aswell as OEM, have no warranty and really are just CHEAP aftermarket replicas. State Farm will only pay the least amount of money possible.

Request Pilkington glass from the replacement company. You can tell shitty glass by looking parallel along the glass surface. It'll have ripples
