It's the new form of parenting. They give each of their kids a tablet and let them watch whatever the F they want all day, as long as they leave mommy and daddy alone to sit and binge watch Netflix on the couch.

Wait, What?
That's an option?

Honey! Find out what a "tablet" is and buy a couple. We'll finally be able to get through Jessica Jones before the new season starts!

Ha haa, technology makes it THAT easy now! I thank radio-controlled cars for getting me into racing stuff and tinkering with vehicles. Kids need more R/C car action in their lives, and less hoverboarding instead of walking.

Side note - I heard, and then saw an older Camaro ZL1 at lunch today. Why he was driving his convertible top ZL1 in the salt ridden Winter is beyond me. Sounded glorious though.

The new ZR1 Corvette base price for 755 horsepower is $119,999.

I think this is going to be a problem. It's hard enough to engineer adequate cooling for a 650-HP street car.

Quote

The current-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is sold as a 650-horsepower supercharged track weapon, yet that hasn't been the case for owners who have had the car go into limp mode on track. More Z06 owners have brought a fourth class-action lawsuit against General Motors over this issue, complete with claims that a 2017 redesign didn't fix the problem.

Might live for drag racing. Road racing, not so much.

WWII piston aircraft engines used water-alcohol injection during very heavy boost conditions. Here's a link to an interesting .pdf download partly about how a Pratt and Whitney engineer solved the problem: www.enginehistory.org/BiographyFrankWalkerWeb1.pdf

See page 8, "Water Injection".

That's impressive.

Only 25 will be made!? I'd want to see how it performs before shelling out an unknown amount of money. I'm sure that LT1 gave them the platform to have an idea of how it'll do

This isn't new at all. I think GM brought it in on Cadillacs and Corvettes back in the day. Gotta be around 2002 since I saw parts for a Corvette. Might be standard on nicer cars now

I think that's what I'm missing. I'm usually driving the scratch and dent specials.

I had it on a 2008 Mercedes. The left front corner failed when it was 3 years old with @ 60,000 miles, and it resulted in a repair estimate of $4,000-8,000. Outside of warranty, of course. They could not narrow down that range until they tore into it. I sold the car as-is, and decided maybe magnetic ride control is not that cool ...

Yeah I've heard the magnetic ride shocks are spendy. But the whole system as a whole must be very spendy.
