Observations from the weekend:

1) Bautista didn't come to play games.
2) Ducati's imagining the possibilities after round 1.
3) If Rea wants another championship it's not going to be easy this year.
4) The decision to replace Sykes with Haslam seems to be a good one.
5) Yamaha has the talent, but is the bike capable of winning?

I think this just speaks leaps and bounds to the amount of talent in the MotoGP field. That Ducati though... super damn fast. Seems like they need to release the restrictions on those Kawi's and let 'em play with the Italians.

Couple of awesome races to watch. Really excited to see if Bautista can keep it up.

Do they do 3 races? I've seen some of the interviews and the riders talk about 3 races.

3 races now.

Superpole on Sunday is now called the Superpole Race. It's a 10 lap sprint for overall points and grid positions for Race 2.

I get the annual video pass for both MotoGP and WorldSBK. The coverage, commentary and camera work is outstanding on both (especially MotoGP).

BeIn Sports, also. The only thing is they change the descriptors sometimes, so my DVR won't record it. I usually end up setting for the time rather than the event.

It's worth remembering that Melandri won both PI races last year, but Rea went on to win most of the rest of them. I keep hoping Chaz will get a championship one of these days, but he may be running out of health before he has a chance. WSBK seems to lack a good feeder system like MotoGP has.
