Poor Quartararo. I don't think he would've lasted against an attack from Rins, but very impressive for him to run out front until having a mechanical. Awesome job to Rins for another visit to the podium!

Failure of the gearshift load cell... He's had a tough start to the season, but this kid has all the talent to compete at the front.

The interesting thing about Jorge and Repsol is the back story about how he got there. Rumor is that he (Jorge) agreed to ride for Repsol in return for a minimal salary ($750,000) - which worked out because Honda was looking to cut costs, but wanted someone who would act as a team mate for Marquez and could provide feedback on developing the bike. Lorezo had made enough money from the Ducati deal that he didn't need the cash, but he wanted to stay with a factory. There's another rumor that his telemetry on the Yamaha is still what is provided to Rossi and Vinales as the way to ride the bike, even years after he (Jorge) left the team.

Rossi went through the same thing after his Ducati adventure. He really wanted to come back to Yamaha, but the team didn't really want to pay him the salary he could command. He agreed to ride for minimal salary, but made a smart deal by instead taking a large cut of the sponsorship money he brought to the team.

It seems Ducati is good at providing the paddock used riders at bargain prices.

I think JZ5 is as well. Dude looks like his dog died after every race. Hang in there fellas, you're still getting paid to race motorcycles for a living.

The one who's really hurting is Zarco. News is that he has hired a coach to help him deal with the stress of not being able to ride the KTM the way he could Tech3's Yamaha. Apparently some of the things he said in interview this weekend cost him some $$$ for violating contract terms regarding bad-mouthing the bike.

I can summarize the WSBK 2019 season with one question. How many more races will Bautista win in a row? Imola this weekend, should be good racing with Davies starting to get comfortable on the V4R.

Laverty didn't have a good day in Imola. Both wrists fractured.
