I am currently working on a build for my 05 SV650. As part of that, I am looking to get the ECU flashed. Off hand, right now I am having a tough time finding places that go that old. Most shops I've found online do the 07 and newer models. So, first thing, I am looking to see if anyone knows where I could get that done at.

Second part of this, I am working with Kyle down at 2k Motorsports with this build, and he was saying that he might be willing to buy the box to flash it if we could find a second bike to flash to make the purchase worth the effort. So, if there is someone around with an 03-06 sv650 that would like it flashed, here's your opportunity.

Any and all help is appreciated.

What do you get by flashing an SV ECU other than the ability to drop a PC3?

Be careful with the ignition module route on the timing. I have seen on a few bikes where the timing you add doesn't always add up to actual degrees over/under stock. So take it slow adjusting it.

We (Woolich Racing) have the FI second gen ECUs and will add them here soon. Just there is a lot more demand for say the brand new CBR1000RR and R3 than the 05 SV650. Sucks, but demand drives our development schedule :(

If the 05 and 07 wiring is similar and there wasn't any huge hardware changes on the bikes between the two years, then you could likely reflash the 05 as an 07 model. The Denso ECUs are a bit more resilient and can take to using other years ECUs provided they're similar. Case in point in order to do boost or nitrous fueling on the K8 and similar GSXR 1000s, people will use the Busa bin file with that enabled, then just copy over the 1000 timing, secondaries, fueling, etc into the Busa file.

The 2007 SV650 introduced the dual spark plug heads. Not sure how much that changed the wiring or ECU, though.

Yeah, not too sure. Know more when we get into them a bit more when time allows.

ECU flashing is now considered a sex crime.

Gahdammit. Well someone call the police and tell them to start me a criminal record then. Might as well go all out and see how long of a rap sheet I can build up.

I'm not in too much of a hurry to get it done yet, but good to know of some people to keep in touch with for getting it done.
