Pretty much finished up the offseason mods to replace what i damaged last Aug @ BIR, couple of things to help with ergos/ controls, I got the bike back together from a full frame-off teardown for paint, and did a full test fit of the new street fairings as the nose finally came in a couple of days ago.

Basically went from this:

To learning about target fixation in T7 in OEM plastics...
Posted Image

To a minor tune up....

To this before paint.....or maybe not. I'm kind of torn now in if I want to paint over it. :/

Should have the SharkSkinz back from paint this Friday so I can get her ready for Barber next month. Probably decide what to do for paint on the street stuff once I get the all pearl white track bodywork on with the red frame & wheels.

I have in the past with mixed results. Sometimes it worked great and other times I ended up chipping the plastics up and causing a crack along with leaving rough edges.

I use a dremal with a grinding bit these days.

Mark the location and drill a small hole in the center of where the slider will be. Next put a grinding stone on the dremal and make the hole bigger and bigger slowly.

Keep checking it as you go and you get a perfect cut with smooth edges and no damage the the plastics.

Well, I did just buy that new Triumph Daytona 675R. And I still have my FZ1, and the R6. So I'm in good shape.

Replaced the exhaust gaskets on the head since I was having some blow by, flushed the coolant system, new brake pads front and rear, replaced and bled brake fluid front and rear, installed frame sliders, and just ordered some techspec tank grips to help take some weight off my wrists on longer drives. The chain has a little surface rust from the previous owner not cleaning or lubricating it enough, but I think I'll hold off on replacing that until next winter since it still works fine.
