I had a similar situation on my 2001 silverado. Turned out the sunroof was draining the battery. Can't remember what the fix was, but it was MACH 1 in little canada that fixed it for me.

I originally brought it over there because i thought it was the system i had put in that was the culprit. They figured it out in a day what the problem was. GL man that sucks!

After multiple try's with a ample meter inline on the negative side of the battery. I could watch the ECU turn off after 5 minutes. Other then that I couldn't find anything drawing amps that was out of spec. Since its such little draw. Im going to try one of these little panels on my dash when I park it. I have thought about a dead man switch and rigging it in my front grill area. But think im going to try the panel first. Going to rig a diode inline so it can only charge.

Read the manual, it already has a diode. Adding another probably will cause some voltage drop which means it won't fully charge your battery.
